IR Magazine Euro Leaders Think Tank - Methodology
Methodology
To qualify as an IR Magazine Euro Leader, an IRO's company must:
- win or be shortlisted for an award for the current or previous year; or
- attain an aggregate 75 points across all award categories in the regional investor perception study for 2009.
In 2009 our independent researchers will be interviewing around 750 portfolio managers and analysts who cover or invest in stocks in the UK and/or continental Europe. Only those companies that have been nominated for an award, or have scored a significant number of investor votes across the categories, will qualify.
The points system works as follows:
- Analysts and fund managers are asked to nominate three companies for each award: first, second and third.
- Points are then attributed to the nominations: five for a ‘first’ nomination, three for a ‘second’ and one for a ‘third’.
- The total number of points scored in each category are then added together to identify the winners and runners-up.
- The points scored by each company across all categories are aggregated to produce its individual total.
