London, June 24, 2009 – Dutch companies won the most awards at last night’s IR Magazine UK & Continental Europe Awards, gathering 14 gongs at the ceremony in London. Dutch firm Royal KPN won several awards including Grand Prix for best overall investor relations at a large cap company and best investor relations by a company in the telecoms sector. UK companies won 11 awards, while German companies took home 10.
The winners were identified by an independent survey, commissioned by IR magazine and carried out by Mary Maude Research. The firm canvassed 700-plus portfolio managers, buy-side analysts and sell-side analysts across Europe during in-depth telephone interviews. The survey results are now available in IR magazine’s Investor Perception Study, UK & Continental Europe 2009.
The award winners were announced last night at a prestigious awards ceremony at Artillery Garden, London.
The IR Magazine UK & Continental Europe Awards 2009 were co-sponsored by Arkadin Global Conferencing, Business Wire, Imagination Investor Communications, Ipreo, OTCQX, PR Newswire Europe, Radley Yeldar, the Bank of New York Mellon and the Investor Relations Society.
