Dec 11, 2008
Hong Kong, December 11, 2008 – Companies from the electronics manufacturing sector won awards in seven out of 20 categories at this year’s IR Magazine Hong Kong and Taiwan Awards. In the grand prix categories that percentage was higher, with four of the eight winners coming from the sector. Companies from the transport and real estate sectors also did well, winning awards in three categories each.
The winners were announced today at an annual awards luncheon at the Conrad, Hong Kong. A full list of this year’s winners is available below or on our website at www.irmagazinehongkong.com.
The awards are presented in association with HKIRA, and are co-sponsored by ACT Conferencing, the Bank of New York Mellon, Citigate Dewe Rogerson, Corporate Asia Network, Hill & Knowlton, irasia.com, NASDAQ OMX, Orient Capital, Rematch and Thomson Reuters. The Wall Street Journal Asia is the official media partner.
The award winners were identified by an independent survey of buy-side analysts, sell-side analysts and portfolio managers. This year’s survey was expanded to include responses from the total universe of global investors covering Asian stocks, not just those based in Asia. The complete results of the survey will be published in IR magazine’s Investor Perception Study, Asia 2008/2009 early next year.
The IR magazine investor perception studies together make up the world’s largest survey of their kind, canvassing more than 5,000 analysts and investors in more than 14 countries and regions. Survey respondents nominate companies in specific categories and offer their opinions on IR-related topics and trends. For more information on the study, please contact Kate Giblin at the number listed at the bottom of this release.
