Toronto, January 8, 2008 – IR magazine announces the shortlisted nominees for its upcoming IR Magazine Canada Awards 2008. The winners will be announced at the annual black-tie gala dinner to be held in Toronto at the Fairmont Royal York on Thursday, February 7.

The awards are presented in association with The Globe and Mail, and are co-sponsored by ACT Conferencing, Barnes McInerney, Bell Conferencing, Broadridge, Business Wire, CCR Solutions, Christensen, Churchill Pryce IR, CIBC Mellon, CIRI, CNW Group, CNQ, Computershare | Georgeson, InterCall Canada, Laurel Hill Advisory Group, Marketwire, NASDAQ, NYSE Euronext, PrecisionIR Group, RR Donnelley, Thomson Financial, Toronto Stock Exchange, TSX Venture Exchange, VALE and Valiant Trust Company.
The awards are based on the results of an independent survey of more than 450 buy-side analysts, sell-side analysts, retail investors and portfolio managers. The research was carried out in partnership with Thomson Financial and PrecisionIR Group. The complete results from the survey are published in IR magazine’s Investor Perception Study, Canada 2008.
The IR magazine investor perception studies together make up the world’s largest survey of this kind, canvassing over 5,000 analysts and investors in more than 14 countries and regions. Survey respondents nominate companies in specific categories and offer their opinions on IR-related topics and trends.
