IR magazine announces short list for South East Asia, China, and Hong Kong and Taiwan

The nominations are out for IR magazine’s awards events in Asia.

Previous multiple award-winner SingTel has notched up seven nominations at this year’s South East Asia awards, with CapitaLand scoring four. According to the Hong Kong and Taiwan awards data, China Mobile has again proved popular with investors, garnering five nominations.

On the mainland, PetroChina achieves the highest number of nominations in China with eight and Ping An is next with five. The finance and energy sectors take the lion’s share of nominations this year, between them accounting for 35 of the 45 short-listed companies.

The winners will be announced at the annual awards ceremonies in Singapore on December 10, Hong Kong on December 15, and Shanghai on December 17. The awards recognize investor relations across Asia, as judged by the international investors and analysts who cover the region.

The nominees are identified by an independent survey of buy-side analysts, sell-side analysts and portfolio managers. This year’s survey has been expanded to include responses from the total universe of global investors covering Asian stocks, not just those based in Asia. It was conducted by Thomson Reuters Extel Surveys and the published results will be available from Thomson Reuters after the final awards event on December 17.
