Who are the judges?
The Corporate Secretary Magazine Awards will be judged by a panel of governance and compliance experts from all sides of the governance arena. Judges include:
- Kenneth Bertsch, head, corporate governance, Morgan Stanley Investment Management
- Roel Campos, partner, Cooley Godward Kronish and former SEC commissioner
- John Castellani, president, Business Roundtable
- Charles Elson, John Weinberg Center for Corporate Governance, University of Delaware
- Terry Gallagher, former corporate secretary and vice president, corporate governance, Pfizer
- Dennis Johnson, managing director, Shamrock Capital Advisors
- Michael Oxley, former US congressman & chairman of the House Financial Services committee
- Carol Strickland, former chairman, Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals and former president, New York Chapter Of The Society
- Norman Veasey, senior partner Weil Gotshal & Manges and the former chief justice of Delaware
Judging process
A shortlist of nominees for each category will be compiled and then overall winners selected at the end of September 2010. The judges will be looking for demonstrable and qualitative results.
