Who are the judges?
The Corporate Secretary Magazine Awards will be judged by a panel of governance and compliance experts from all sides of the governance arena including:
- Kenneth Bertsch, executive director and head of corporate governance, Morgan Stanley Investment Management
- Roel Campos, former SEC commissioner (2002-2007). Currently partner at Cooley Godward Kronish
- John Castellani, president, Business Roundtable
- Charles Elson, Edgar Woolard, Jr chair, John Weinberg Center for Corporate Governance, Lerner College of Business & Economics, University of Delaware
- Terry Gallagher, former corporate secretary and vice president, governance, Pfizer
- Norman Veasey, former Chief Justice of Delaware. Currently senior partner at Weil, Gotshal & Manges
- John Wilcox, former senior vice president and head of corporate governance,TIAA-CREF. Currently chairman at Sodali
Judging process
A shortlist of nominees for each category will be compiled and then overall winners selected at the end of September 2008. The judges will be looking for demonstrable and qualitative results.
