Joan DiBlasi

Joan began her career with Aflac in 1985. As an in-house transfer agent, she is responsible for Aflac’s equity security compliance. She has served as president of the Shareholder Services Association from 1997 - 1999, and is continuing to serve as a director and secretary.
Joan served on the IRPAC (The IRS Information Reporting Program Advisory Committee) from 2001 – 2003. Joan is currently involved on several committees such as the DRS Joint Industry Committee and the DRS Working Group.

John Buonomo

John Buonomo, vice president at BNY Mellon Shareowner Services, oversees our Core Shareholder Services team. This includes transfer agency, treasury, merger and acquisition, and asset recovery services.
John offers 18 years of specialized expertise in the Financial Services industry, with 16 years including his experience with Shareowner Services and its predecessor companies. Prior to assuming his present responsibilities, John managed a variety of Service Delivery functions, including dividend payments, reconciliations, tax services and asset recovery.
Presently, John is involved with a number of professional organizations. He co-chairs the Unclaimed Property Committee of the Securities Transfer Association and is a member of the Shareholder Services Association, the National Association of Unclaimed Property Administrators and the Unclaimed Property Professionals Organization.
John holds a BS in business administration, with a concentration in Finance from East Carolina University.
He is married, enjoys golf, following his family’s racing horses, and spending weekends at the beach with his wife, Carmen, and their daughter, Margaret.

Ed Hodder

Ed Hodder is the senior analyst for Bowne’s Strategic Marketing group. He has been involved with XBRL since 1999, actively tracking development and adoption of this technology. He led Bowne's participation in several XBRL related activities including "XBRL for Earnings Releases", the ICI Risk/Return Taxonomy Working Group, and the SEC Voluntary Filing Program. Bowne was the first company to file XBRL in the program when it started on April 4, 2005 and was subsequently awarded to the InfoWorld 100 winning the Financial Services group.

Glenn Doggett

Glenn Doggett is a policy analyst for the CFA Institute Centre for Financial Market Integrity. His responsibilities include representing membership interests regarding financial reporting and disclosure proposals of various national and international regulators and standard setters, drafting position papers and comment letters, and working with the Corporate Disclosure Policy Council of CFA Institute on their initiatives.
Prior to joining CFA Institute, he worked in the financial information sector with SNL Financial, LC. There his work focused on the real estate and energy industries, directing the development and maintenance of a financial data storage system. Glenn regularly provided insights to the media on events and performance of the Real Estate Investment Trust industry.
Glenn holds a BA in economics from the University of Virginia. He is a member of CFA Virginia.

Joseph Trezza
 |
Joseph Trezza is VP for The Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC). In this position, he oversees product development and improvements, providing marketing and maintenance support for the depository’s asset servicing areas, including securities processing, issuer services, entitlement processing, and corporate actions.
He has been with DTCC since 1969, when he joined The Depository Trust Company (DTC), a DTCC subsidiary, shortly after it was established to deal with the paperwork crisis that threatened Wall Street. Since that time, he has held numerous positions in operations and administration.
Currently, he is leading DTCC’s efforts to further the dematerialization and immobilization of physical securities, thereby improving processing efficiencies while reducing cost and risk. In addition, he works closely with DTCC’s Issuer Services group to provide new product solutions for issuers and shareholders. One such product is AccuBasis, which delivers accurate, adjusted cost basis information quickly and efficiently, eliminating the high cost and effort involved in traditional cost-basis reporting.
He is an active member of various industry groups and committees. He is a board director of the Shareholder Services Association, is a coordinating member of the Direct Registration System (DRS) Ad Hoc Committee and a member of the DRS Working Group. He is a member of various committees of the Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association.
He lives in New York City with his wife and three children.

Gerry Miller

Gerry is a managing director at DolmatConnell & Partners. He specializes in executive compensation, director remuneration, equity compensation and corporate governance matters as related to executive compensation. Gerry has particular experience in the high-technology and financial services industries.
Prior to joining DolmatConnell & Partners, he was EVP and chief operating officer of Ben S Cole Financial and the head of their compensation consulting practice. Prior to that, he was a VP of Clark Consulting’s Human Capital Practice (now Pearl Meyer & Partners), a director in the compensation consulting practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers, and VP of executive compensation for State Street Corporation. Gerry has also held positions as director of compensation and benefits at UST Corporation, GenRad, and A.T. Cross.
Gerry is a frequent speaker at regional and national conferences on matters of executive and equity compensation and has authored numerous articles on compensation and compensation-related corporate governance issues appearing in magazines such as Workspan. Gerry is a Certified Compensation Professional and a member of the National Association of Stock Plan Professionals. Gerry is an active member of WorldatWork, the professional association for compensation practitioners, has spoken at the WorldatWork national conference, and has received their Lifetime Achievement Award. Gerry has been quoted in many leading publications, including The Wall Street Journal.
Gerry holds an MBA from the University of Bridgeport and a BS in economics from the University of Rhode Island.

Katherine Combs

Katherine Combs is SVP, corporate governance, corporate secretary and deputy general counsel for Exelon, the largest electric and gas utility, nuclear power generator and power marketer in the US and was named “Most Admired Utility” by Fortune Magazine in 2004, 2005 and 2006.
As a member of Exelon’s senior management and the legal council, she provides legal advice and support for the Exelon board of directors and its committees. She is responsible for corporate governance and for compliance with the requirements of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and other corporate governance reforms. She also oversees SEC reporting and compliance, provides legal counseling on securities laws and regulations and manages the shareholder services function. She chairs Exelon’s ethics and compliance committee and manages the ethics and compliance program, including investigations of potential violations of the code of business conduct. She also chairs the corporate policies committee, is responsible for the development of overall corporate policies and monitoring compliance with them, and manages Exelon’s subsidiary management and records management functions. She is a director of the Exelon Foundation and a member of the Corporate Citizenship Review Committee that oversees Exelon’s charitable giving program.
Prior to the formation of Exelon, she served as deputy general counsel and corporate secretary of one of Exelon’s predecessor companies, PECO Energy Company, in Philadelphia, PA, and previously as PECO’s chief regulatory counsel. In the latter capacity, she was responsible for PECO’s state and federal regulatory matters during Pennsylvania’s transition to electric competition, and assisted in the negotiation of the terms of the retail competition legislation enacted in Pennsylvania. Prior to joining PECO Energy, she served as in-house regulatory counsel for Bell Telephone Company of Pennsylvania (now Verizon), and as an associate specializing in litigation with the law firm of Pepper Hamilton in Philadelphia.
She is a former member of the national board of the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals, the former chair of its Corporate Practices Committee (which develops monographs on best corporate governance practices), and past chair of the Society’s National Conference (2007). She serves on the board of “Inside the Boardroom”, a corporate governance series for executives sponsored by Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business. She also serves on the Steering Committee of Broadridge. She is a trustee of the Erikson Institute (a research institute and graduate school for early childhood education professionals), and chairs its audit committee. She is a member of the Chicago University Club, the Philadelphia Union League, the Forum of Executive Women, and the New York Athletic Club.
Prior to moving to Chicago, she served on the board of the Delaware Valley Association of Corporate Counsel, chaired the Public Utility Section of the Pennsylvania Bar Association and served on various committees of the American, Pennsylvania, Philadelphia and Federal Energy Bar Associations. She also served as director and capital campaign chair for Bartram’s Garden, America’s first botanic garden, as director and president of the Junior League of Philadelphia, and as director of the Volunteer Action Council (now part of the United Way).
She is a graduate of Northwestern University and received her law degree from the West Virginia University College of Law. She is a member of the Order of the Coif and the Order of the Barristers and was lead articles editor of the Law Review. She completed the executive program of Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. She is a 2008 recipient of the Women’s Venture Fund’s “Highest Leaf Award”.
She is a native of West Virginia and she and her husband, Gerry, have three grown children.

Charles Sklarsky

Charles B Sklarsky is a partner in Jenner & Block's Chicago office and is a member of the firm's litigation department. He is co-chair of the firm's white collar criminal defense and counseling practice and a member of the firm's conflicts resolution and pro bono committees. He is also a member of the executive committee of the firm's litigation department. He is AV Peer Review Rated, Martindale-Hubbell's highest peer recognition for ethical standards and legal ability. Charles is also a member of the Illinois Leading Lawyers Network in the area of white collar criminal defense, and is recognized in Chambers USA and Chambers Global as one of America's leading lawyers for business.
He counsels individuals and companies on a wide range of issues involving litigation or potential litigation, including fraud and abuse, conflicts of interest, public corruption, criminal tax matters, criminal antitrust, theft of trade secrets, securities fraud and regulatory matters. He has substantial experience in representing individuals and entities in grand jury investigations, SEC investigations, criminal trials, SEC enforcement actions, qui tam litigation, and appearances before regulatory bodies. He has also represented individuals and entities in complex civil litigation. Charles counsels individuals and companies involved in the gaming industry in Illinois and elsewhere and represents clients before the Illinois Gaming Board. He counsels companies on compliance issues, conducts compliance audits and assists companies in the drafting and implementation of codes of conduct and compliance programs.
He joined the firm in 1986 after serving over 8 years as an assistant United States attorney for the Northern District of Illinois and over 4 years as an assistant State’s attorney of Cook County, Illinois. At the United States Attorney’s Office, he held the positions of deputy chief of criminal litigation and later chief of criminal receiving and appeals. He was one of the architects of Operation Greylord, an unprecedented undercover probe of corruption in the Cook County Judiciary. At the State’s Attorney’s Office, he investigated and prosecuted numerous felony cases ranging from theft to murder. As a prosecutor at the state and federal levels, he tried several hundred cases many of which were before juries.
He is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and a member of the American Bar Association, Illinois Bar Association and Chicago Bar Association.
Charles graduated cum laude from Harvard College in 1968 and received his JD from the University of Wisconsin in 1973. He is a member of the bar in Illinois, Wisconsin and numerous federal courts.

David Snively

David Snively is SVP, secretary and general counsel for Monsanto (NYSE MON). As the leading global agriculture company recognized for its innovations in biotechnology and environmental stewardship, Monsanto helps farmers around the world use science to increase productivity and protect natural resources. Dave focuses his practice on corporate governance, strategy and biotechnology policy with an emphasis on intellectual property, ethics, antitrust and crisis management. He received his JD with honors from Indiana University and is active in the ABA¹s Section of Litigation as vice chairman of the Committee on Corporate Counsel. Prior to his Monsanto service he was a trial lawyer with the Indiana-based firm of Barnes & Thornburg.

Paul Hodgson

Paul Hodgson is The Corporate Library’s senior research associate for board and executive compensation. He is the chief architect of The Corporate Library’s executive and director compensation databases, and manages The Corporate Library’s research report writing and publishing business. He has been researching and writing about executive compensation for 14 years. Eight of these years were spent in England, where he worked for the journal Executive Compensation Review as researcher and assistant editor. Executive Compensation Review is the flagship management pay journal produced by pay research firm Incomes Data Services which was recently acquired by Thomson Financial. While at Incomes Data Services, he was also responsible for writing and researching the influential Directors’ Pay Report series.
He is the author of numerous books and research reports on executive pay for The Corporate Library, Incomes Data Services and Remuneration Economics. These include Pay for Failure, Pay for Success, Executive Share Incentives: Policy and Practice, The Directors’ Pay Report, My Big Fat Corporate Loan, Golden Parachutes & Cushion Landings and Golden Hellos. He has also had articles published in a number of journals, including Forbes and Directors and Boards. He is the author of the book Building Value Through Compensation, the second volume in CCH Publishing’s Board Perspectives series. He is widely quoted in national print media as an authority on executive compensation, and has appeared on numerous television and radio stations.
